Leitrim Dance Project
About the project
Leitrim Dance Project promotes engagement with percussive dance and promotes pathways for emerging professional percussive dancers, locally, nationally and internationally. The festival aims to develop a keener understanding of the relationship between dancer and musician where the experience of the dance goes hand in hand with the experience of the music.
About the Team
Leitrim Dance Project is managed by a committee consisting of Director of Áirc Damhsa and dancer, Edwina Guckian; Dancer, Michael O’Rourke; Dancer and choreographer, Liam Scanlon; and Leitrim Arts Officer, Phillip Delamere.
About our Guests
Each year Leitrim Dance Project works with the very best of dancers, musicians and guest speakers from Ireland and across the globe. They have been invited specifically for their extremely high standard of teaching and performance, their years of experience and learning, their vast repertoire and knowledge and their generosity in sharing all of this with participants.
